Physician Assistants
Bluegrass Orthopaedics & Hand Care pro-vides a highly trained and specialized clinical team to treat orthopaedic condi-tions. Many orthopaedic problems are managed by physician assistants who are board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and are licensed health care professionals in the state of Kentucky, with prescribing pri-vileges. The physician assistants at Blue-grass Orthopaedics & Hand Care meet stringent continuing medical education require- ments including recertification by examination every six years.

Our physician assistants work as a team with the supervising physician to review your condition, prepare alternative care options, participate in your surgical care and provide post-operative follow-up care. They provide an increased access to and are an excellent extension of the orthopaedic surgeon.

Physical Therapy Team
At Bluegrass Orthopaedics & Hand Care, the PT department works in concert with the patient’s orthopaedic surgeon to ensure the best possible outcome from surgery or, in some cases, to prevent surgery in the first place.
