Bluegrass Orthopaedics' London is an orthopedic clinic open on Wednesdays. Hip and knee specialist Dr. Eric Schafer, as well as physician assistant Michelle Ladanyi, PA-C, serve athletes of all ages at this location. BGO is also the official sports medicine provider for local area high schools with athletic trainers caring for the high school student-athletes at Corbin High School.

My mother needed a full knee replacement at 85 years old. I was concerned with her being put under general anesthesia due to complications for someone her age. Dr. Denehy suggested a spinal which was the perfect solution! The other surgeon stated my mother would have to go to rehab for two weeks, Dr. Denehy said she could go home as long as someone stayed with her for 48 hours. He is concerned with possible infection at a rehab. The nurses at Baptist raved about him, said he had the lowest infection rate in the hospital and they would recommend him for their family. Anyway, 9 weeks post opt, my 85-year-old mother has completely recovered and no longer needs to do physical therapy. 2 weeks post-op she could walk without her walker

He is the most approachable & professional Dr I have ever seen. I am an RN with orthopedic experience & I have been so extremely happy with his care & expertise! I had a reverse shoulder replacement after failing a previous regular...He is the most approachable & professional Dr I have ever seen. I am an RN with orthopedic experience & I have been so extremely happy with his care & expertise! I had a reverse shoulder replacement after failing a previous regular replacement followed by a fall & fracture after the first surgery. He let me know all my options & was totally open as to any possible complications. I am so happy with my outcome & recommend him highly to anyone especially anyone with a complex issue. I honestly can’t thank him enough!

Dr Huff was right there when I needed him. My femur broke on a Saturday evening and Sunday morning at 7am he opened the operating room, got his staff and took care of me. He had also been persistent in getting me on Forteo to help my...Dr Huff was right there when I needed him. He had also been persistent in getting me on Forteo to help my bones, and after three months has succeeded in doing so. He is therefor his patients. I highly recommend him and his staff.

It was the day after Christmas and my daughter kept asking me to ride her new hover board she had gotten, and I kept saying, “No I will fall off of it”. She kept insisting I ride it and you probably know where this story is going. To make a long story short, I rode it and fell off of it breaking the radial head in multiple pieces. This happened around 9:00 pm and I had already made up my mind after it happened that I was not going to the emergency room that night as the pain was minimal. I knew first thing the next morning I was going to call Bluegrass Orthpeodics. The only opening they had was for the clinic in Georgetown and without any hesitation I said I will take it. It is well worth the two plus hours it takes to get there from my hometown. The x-ray confirmed the fracture and they scheduled and MRI and appointment with Dr. Donegan. Needless to say he explained the procedure and how he was going to try and put the fragments back together, if not he would have to put an implant in for my radial head. He answered all my questions and explained everything thoroughly. Central Baptist was awesome as it was an outpatient procedure and everything went great. I cannot say enough good things about Dr Donegan and the staff at BO. I would refer any of my family and friends. Thankfully my movement is as well as it was prior to the accident if not better..Very satisfied and grateful.

If you ever read her dictation notes you will find that she listened and retained everything you told her. I trust her implicitly and highly recommend her.
