Myelopathy Treatment in Central Kentucky

Myelopathy refers to spinal cord dysfunction caused by compression or injury anywhere along the spinal cord and is most commonly seen in the cervical (neck) spine. It can result from a variety of conditions, including degenerative changes such as bone spurs or arthritis, herniated discs, spinal stenosis (narrowing of the spinal canal), traumatic injuries, or tumors and infections that affect the spinal cord. Unlike radiculopathy, which impacts a single nerve root, myelopathy involves impairment of the spinal cord itself and often leads to broader, more widespread neurological symptoms.
