Dr. Favetto is a hand surgeon and partner at Bluegrass Orthopaedics. He received his medical degree from the University of Buenos Aires, School of Medicine in Argentina. He is board certified in orthopaedics and traumatology by the Ministry of Health and Social Action in Argentina. He completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at Eva Peron Hospital in San Martin, Argentina. After relocating to Kentucky, Dr. Favetto completed a fellowship at the Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Micro Surgery in Kentucky. He continued at the Kleinert Institute as Senior Fellow and ultimately as Hand Scholar. Dr. Favetto is a teacher and lecturer in upper-extremity hand injuries and trauma with an emphasis on wrist and elbow arthroscopy.

Dr. Favetto was one of the chief surgeons on the transplant team that performed the first two of three human hand transplants in the United States.

After the elbow healed by hand required surgery from my fall so he performed carpal tunnel surgery. I feel very blessed to have a compassionate doctor. His staff is the best as well. Dr. Favetto is amazing. I walked into his office in pain and walked out pain free. He completely explained my condition and my options so that I could make an informed decision. I chose a steroid shot for my hand and it worked miracles.... Dr. Favetto is amazing. I walked into his office in pain and walked out pain free. He also told me that the length of the pain relief would differ from patient to patient and that would further help me to decide if I wanted to have surgery for the arthritis.
