I went to see Dr. Harrod about my bunion on my right foot. After looking at x-rays and learning about my ability to walk well in wide athletic shoes, he recommended that I not have surgery at this time. Since I have arthritis in my big... After looking at x-rays and learning about my ability to walk well in wide athletic shoes, he recommended that I not have surgery at this time. Since I have arthritis in my big toe joint, the recovery time would be 3-4 months. I was surprised but pleased that Dr. Harrod told me that he could fix my bunion problem, but advised me to wait until I was having difficulty walking. I was very impressed with the efficiency of the staff at Bluegrass Orthopaedics, and with Dr. Harrod's professionalism.
