Bluegrass Orthopaedics Announces 5th Annual Battle of Elkhorn Creek Set for August 22, 2025

LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY — Bluegrass Orthopaedics (BGO) is proud to return as the presenting sponsor of the fifth annual Battle of Elkhorn Creek, a premier high school football bowl series showcasing top talent from Central Kentucky. This year's event will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, and will feature two marquee matchups taking place simultaneously at separate locations — a new format for this annual tradition.

The 2025 matchups and locations are as follows, with both games kicking off at 7:30 PM:

This marks the first year the Battle of Elkhorn Creek will feature two games at two different stadiums, offering fans and communities even more opportunities to support their teams in a high-stakes, early-season showdown.

To kick off the event, Bluegrass Orthopaedics will host a media day on Saturday, August 16 at 11:00 AM at their Sports Medicine Clinic, located at 3401 Yorkshire Medical Parkway, Lexington, KY 40509. This annual event is possible with assistance from GLICOD and Chick-fil-A, the event will include media access to head coaches and selected players from each team, along with photo opportunities and interviews.

"It's a fantastic way to bring our communities together, celebrate high school football and recognize our athletic trainers."
