What Injuries Benefit from Physical Therapy?

Many injuries can benefit from physical therapy. Sports-related injuries such as a torn ACL, tendonitis, or a joint sprain can be treated with physical therapy in place of surgery. In cases where surgery is needed, physical therapy is vital to recovery. Physical therapy can also be beneficial for those suffering from work-related overuse injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome or bursitis. Your physical therapist can teach you new methods to perform work tasks that limit the chance of re-injury.

With a very long history of orthopedic issues, I saw Dr. Harrod for a new issue with my right foot. I could tell he was more than interested in my past issues and really listened to what I had to say. Dr. Harrod provided a couple of options that did not include surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Harrod and, if need be, will see him again should I continue to have issues with my foot.

He did carpel tunnel surgery on my right hand in 2009 and I have had NO residual numbness. I started having pain in my thumb joints in November, 2015 and the pain remained constant. I saw Dr. O'Neill in May, 2016. He recommended injections and advised they may be painful. I had them in both thumbs and by the next day, I have no pain in my thumbs joints! I am extremely satisfied!
