Many injuries can benefit from physical therapy. Sports-related injuries such as a torn ACL, tendonitis, or a joint sprain can be treated with physical therapy in place of surgery. In cases where surgery is needed, physical therapy is vital to recovery. Physical therapy can also be beneficial for those suffering from work-related overuse injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome or bursitis.
