Bluegrass Orthopaedics on Richmond Road has 8 physicians and 6 physician assistants specializing in hip, knee, hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder, and foot and ankle. This orthopedic clinic is conveniently located right off Richmond Road, just outside of Man O' War Blvd. On the first floor of this location houses the Bluegrass Specialty Surgery Center. The Richmond Road Clinic also provides patients with an on-site imaging, hand therapy, bone density testing, and EMG testing.
It was the day after Christmas and my daughter kept asking me to ride her new hover board she had gotten, and I kept saying, “No I will fall off of it”. She kept insisting I ride it and you probably know where this story is going. To make a long story short, I rode it and fell off of it breaking the radial head in multiple pieces. This happened around 9:00 pm and I had already made up my mind after it happened that I was not going to the emergency room that night as the pain was minimal. I knew first thing the next morning I was going to call Bluegrass Orthpeodics. The only opening they had was for the clinic in Georgetown and without any hesitation I said I will take it. It is well worth the two plus hours it takes to get there from my hometown. The x-ray confirmed the fracture and they scheduled and MRI and appointment with Dr. Donegan. Needless to say he explained the procedure and how he was going to try and put the fragments back together, if not he would have to put an implant in for my radial head. He answered all my questions and explained everything thoroughly. Central Baptist was awesome as it was an outpatient procedure and everything went great. I cannot say enough good things about Dr Donegan and the staff at BO. I would refer any of my family and friends. Thankfully my movement is as well as it was prior to the accident if not better..Very satisfied and grateful.

He kept me in physical therapy, to keep my torso strong, for the surgery. Best move. I was up, walking around, on my own, a few hours after the surgery. He has a great personality! Jokes with me and is always ready to answer any questions I have. I've read some of these reviews and i don't believe they've saw the same doctor. He's a great surgeon and fixed me when others just wanted to shove pills, down my throat.

I was in a very tight time crunch, and Dr. Harrod and his staff were able to help me 4 days before I leave for 3 months. They made sure I got what I needed as soon as possible and were absolutely wonderful the whole time. Dr. Balthrop is an excellent doctor. I have had one knee replacement done last October and the other one done February 25 and I have done well. He was the first orthopedic doctor who took my pain seriously. I felt validated and heard. For years I went unheard. Dr Lockstadt has a great bed side manner, as well as Jim his PA is awesome. 95% of the time, Dr. Harrod is on time. On a couple of occassions I actually didn't have to wait at all! He is professional, courteous and knowledgeable.
