Bluegrass Orthopaedics on Richmond Road has 8 physicians and 6 physician assistants specializing in hip, knee, hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder, and foot and ankle. This orthopedic clinic is conveniently located right off Richmond Road, just outside of Man O' War Blvd. On the first floor of this location houses the Bluegrass Specialty Surgery Center. The Richmond Road Clinic also provides patients with an on-site imaging, hand therapy, bone density testing, and EMG testing.

I could tell he was more than interested in my past issues and really listened to what I had to say. I could tell he was more than interested in my past issues and really listened to what I had to say. Dr. Harrod provided a couple of options that did not include surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Harrod and, if need be, will see him again should I continue to have issues with my foot.

If you really want help from someone who listens your with the right person. I’m 6 weeks out from a 3 level cervical fusion. My arm pain is gone and I’m now able to sleep in my bed. Getting appointment was within a couple weeks, so it was timely. Staff was friendly. Office was bright, clean. I was called back before I could finish my paperwork. Nursing staff, radiology , and bracing staff all pleasant. Dr arrived...Getting appointment was within a couple weeks, so it was timely. Staff was friendly. Office was bright, clean. Dr very personable, listeners and explained case well, had good bedside mannerisms, didn't rush. Explained stays thoroughly. Explained plan of care answer questions. Would recommend.

Dr. Vasicek explained every procedure and showed me my MRI so I could understand what was wrong and what she could do for me. I was really in pain and I needed someone to help me, she melted all my fears and took action. I was really in pain and I needed someone to help me, she melted all my fears and took action. She checked on me often after surgery and I really felt that she understood. She really listened. Thanks to her, I am happy with my new Christmas Knee.

It was the day after Christmas and my daughter kept asking me to ride her new hover board she had gotten, and I kept saying, “No I will fall off of it”. She kept insisting I ride it and you probably know where this story is going....It was the day after Christmas and my daughter kept asking me to ride her new hover board she had gotten, and I kept saying, “No I will fall off of it”. She kept insisting I ride it and you probably know where this story is going. To make a long story short, I rode it and fell off of it breaking the radial head in multiple pieces. This happened around 9:00 pm and I had already made up my mind after it happened that I was not going to the emergency room that night as the pain was minimal. I knew first thing the next morning I was going to call Bluegrass Orthpeodics. The only opening they had was for the clinic in Georgetown and without any hesitation I said I will take it. It is well worth the two plus hours it takes to get there from my hometown. The x-ray confirmed the fracture and they scheduled and MRI and appointment with Dr. Donegan. Needless to say he explained the procedure and how he was going to try and put the fragments back together, if not he would have to put an implant in for my radial head. He answered all my questions and explained everything thoroughly. Central Baptist was awesome as it was an outpatient procedure and everything went great. I cannot say enough good things about Dr Donegan and the staff at BO. I would refer any of my family and friends. Thankfully my movement is as well as it was prior to the accident if not better..Very satisfied and grateful.

I am so thankful that I went to Bluegrass orthopedics. All of the nurses and receptionist were the best and dr christainsen was amazing. In addition to exhibiting professionalism and knowledge, Dr. Harrod actually listens to the patient. I have learned that Dr. Harrod treated my brother’s foot fractures several years ago and he also was very pleased with his treatment and outcome.

We are both around 60 years of age and while we have been healthy (knock wood) most of our lives, we have still seen a fair amount of doctors and their staff. This is by far the friendliest and most competent office we have ever been in. You are greeted with a smile by a wonderful staff, not a vacant stare or rude comment anywhere. Each person we interacted with knew their job and answered our questions quickly. Dr. Huff is so impressive, looks you in the eye and doesn’t make you feel like he is in a hurry to see his next patient. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. Jeff has been putting off knee replacement surgery for a lot of years and when we left Dr. Huff’s office he told me that after meeting with Dr. Huff, he felt good about having the surgery and wasn’t nearly as nervous as he was before going in.
