How Long Does it Take to Recover From Shoulder Surgery?

However, assuming no complications arise and you attend all your follow-up appointments and physical therapy sessions, patients must have met the complete recovery standards within six months to one year after their operation. During the first six weeks of post-operative recovery, you may need to wear a sling to immobilize the joint, which will help facilitate optimal healing.

BGO's Champion patient comes from London, KY - Ms. Sydney Parker. Sydney is an animal lover, and was injured after a fall from her horse in October of 2018. She fractured and dislocated her elbow, which unfortunately led to surgery in October of 2018 - a complicated procedure that required an open reduction internal fixation as well as an ulnar nerve decompression and transposition. Sydney had fractured her trochlea, lateral condyle of her elbow, as well as her olecranon.

After the elbow healed by hand required surgery from my fall so he performed carpal tunnel surgery. I feel very blessed to have a compassionate doctor. His staff is the best as well. Dr Donegan did a complete reverse shoulder replacement on both my wife and me. I have full use of my shoulder now. My wife is now 2 months post op from her full replacement and quickly regaining mobility of her arm and shoulder. Dr... Dr Donegan did a complete reverse shoulder replacement on both my wife and me. Dr. Donegan did a total reconstruction of my right rotator cuff in November 2018. I had zero pain following surgery until I started rehab. I've been going here for years. I've been seen for my ankle, knee and shoulder. He has done MRI's on everything and ordered xrays when needed. He has always been so thorough and helpful. I currently have another knee injury and the E.r... I've been going here for years. I've been seen for my ankle, knee and shoulder. He has done MRI's on everything and ordered xrays when needed.
