Bluegrass Orthopaedics' Sports Medicine location has 3 physicians and 3 physician assistants specializing in hip, knee, elbow, shoulder, and foot and ankle. This location is conveniently located right off Richmond Road, just outside of Man O' War Blvd. The Sports Medicine Clinic also provides patients with an on-site imaging, a full Physical Therapy Clinic, and the AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill.

Be evaluated by our fellowship-trained orthopedic doctors and specialists at our Sports Medicine Clinic at our daily walk-in clinic! The "BGONow" sports medicine walk-in clinic is recommended for athletes of all ages who have sustained an orthopaedic injury within the last 72 hours, and is open:
Monday through Friday from 7:30AM-4:00PM
Saturday Morning from 8:00-10:00AM (*Closed Holiday Weekends)
Be seen by an orthopaedic specialist with fellowship training, and save the emergency room expense!
As for our family, we would give him 10 stars. Can not imagine anyone having a bad experience with him or his staff. I have had 3 surgeries and will have 4th soon, all for different/unrelated problems done by Dr. Balthrop. He is fantastic! He does expect you to follow through with PT. I think it is 75% of the success of...Best Orthopaedic Surgeon Ever!

So glad I went to Dr O'Neill for my hand surgery. I could not be more pleased. No one wants to have surgery, but when you have to, it's so great to have all your questions answered and have great results!

I liked Dr Vasicek very much. She took her time with me, explained everything & answered all of my questions without being in a hurry. She also addressed my knee problem that day & made the treatment plan to where most places the first...I liked Dr Vasicek very much. I had the carpal tunnel surgery 8-26 on my right hand with 3 finger tendon releases. Everything went smoothly, so about 10 weeks later I had the left hand done, and was happy with the outcome.

From my first visit to the time of my OUTPATIENT hip replacement yesterday everything was as professional as a well oiled machine, but also personalized. My assigned nurse called this morning to check on me. Almost no pain at all. It has been a day and a half and my main concern is not overdoing my movement, cause I feel like I could generally do anything I wanted to do. Thanks to Dr. Balthrop and his first rate staff!
