Bluegrass Orthopaedics' Sports Medicine location has 3 physicians and 3 physician assistants specializing in hip, knee, elbow, shoulder, and foot and ankle. This location is conveniently located right off Richmond Road, just outside of Man O' War Blvd. The Sports Medicine Clinic also provides patients with an on-site imaging, a full Physical Therapy Clinic, and the AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill.

Be evaluated by our fellowship-trained orthopedic doctors and specialists at our Sports Medicine Clinic at our daily walk-in clinic! The "BGONow" sports medicine walk-in clinic is recommended for athletes of all ages who have sustained an orthopaedic injury within the last 72 hours, and is open:
Monday through Friday from 7:30AM-4:00PM
Saturday Morning from 8:00-10:00AM (*Closed Holiday Weekends)
Be seen by an orthopaedic specialist with fellowship training, and save the emergency room expense!
I have had surgery performed by Dr. Christiansen three times: Partial knee 10 years ago, total in 2014 & total in 2018. He is a caring Christian man and an excellent surgeon. Dr. Favetto is simply the best. I have seen him off and on for at least 15 yrs. I first saw him after a complicated hand fracture when he was with Kleinert and Kutz. I later followed him to Bluegrass Ortho. Now he is treating my trigger...Dr. Favetto is simply the best. I have seen him off and on for at least 15 yrs. I first saw him after a complicated hand fracture when he was with Kleinert and Kutz. I later followed him to Bluegrass Ortho. Now he is treating my trigger fingers. He also operated on my son's left hand about 5 years ago (who is a violinist in the Cleveland Orchestra). My family loves Dr Favetto and won't stop anywhere until we get to him for any hand problems that come up. I also refer any patient of mine who has a complicated hand or arm problem to him.

Dr. Donegan did all tests needed and listened to my concerns and explained everything so that I was able to understand what was going on with me, not in and out in a flash like most do. 3 weeks in from right knee replacement & thing couldn't be going any better. Dr. Denehy is not only a great surgeon but a kind & gentle soul who obviously cares deeply about the well being of his patients. I called and got right in to see Dr Christian Christensen ...I loved him, trusted him, loved his staff and three days later he partially replaced one of my knees !! I would highly recommend this wonderful doctor

Dr Christensen is an amazing surgeon, he saved my leg from amputation and replaced my knee. He is a kind and gentle man. He is very thorough and tells you straightforward answers. I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Vasicek in 2006. Another physician in her practice insisted I did not have a torn rotator cuff, because it was not visible on the MRI. He grew frustrated with my continued pain and immobility and...I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Vasicek in 2006. Another physician in her practice insisted I did not have a torn rotator cuff, because it was not visible on the MRI. He grew frustrated with my continued pain and immobility and referred me to her. She felt that I did have a tear and actually found two during the surgery. She listens carefully, retains your information and keeps careful notes. I have complete confidence in her abilities.

So glad I went to Dr O'Neill for my hand surgery. I could not be more pleased. No one wants to have surgery, but when you have to, it's so great to have all your questions answered and have great results!

I'm very impressed with my visit with Dr. Denehey. Not only am i completely comfortable with moving forward with the care of my issues, im overjoyed. Was going to another Dr. And 10 months later nothing being done for me but tests. One...I'm very impressed with my visit with Dr. Denehey. If you really want help from someone who listens your with the right person. I’m 6 weeks out from a 3 level cervical fusion. My arm pain is gone and I’m now able to sleep in my bed.
