IS IT SAFE TO COME TO BGO?

  1. ABSOLUTELY! Your safety and that of our staff is our highest priority. Our medical center was built for this, and we even offer a telemedicine platform so you can see your provider digitally on your smartphone. Contact BGO here or call 859-263-5140 to ask if this platform is available to you.
  2. NEW!!! BGO will be actively screening every individual BEFORE they enter our facility - this includes both patients and individuals accompanying patients. Patients must pull up to the front door, and one of our employees will perform a screen at the entrance.
  3. BGO is asking that patients bring no more than ONE visitor to their appointment.
  4. BGO is encouraging self check-in online before your appointment, or utilizing your own smart devices during the check-in process.
  5. BGO will continue to sanitize our facilities throughout the day, as well as each evening. Common areas and popular touched areas are continually cleaned by our staff.

SHOULD I CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT, PROCEDURE, OR SURGERY?

If you are healthy, there is no need to cancel any appointments, procedures or elective surgeries. If you are over the age of 60 and have underlying health conditions, please discuss with your primary care physician about the urgency of your orthopedic visit. We have rigorous systems in place for screening any person who presents with coronavirus symptoms, and then fully supporting their care as warranted. We want to assure you that we are taking every precaution to ensure your safety during your visit. As a part of these precautions, please limit the number of people joining you for your appointment.

There will be circumstances where we will be needing to reschedule certain surgeries. This is due to hospital decisions on elective surgeries and NOT due to the spread of the coronavirus. Please be patient with us as we try to accommodate each individual.
