Bluegrass Orthopaedics' - Rockcastle County is an orthopedic clinic open on Thursdays. Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Wallace Huff, along with Michael Blackburn, PA-C, serves athletes of all ages at this location. BGO is also the official sports medicine provider for the local area school district in Mount Vernon with athletic trainers caring for the student-athletes of Rockcastle County High School.
Dr. Hunt is amazing. After living in pain from previous failed back surgeries he was able to take away the majority of my pain. He always had my best interest in mind when deciding on best route of treatment

Dr. Hunt performed surgery on my ankle back in October. This was my last follow up visit. As with all my visits he took all the time I needed and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. Because of his skill as a surgeon my recovery and rehab went better than expected. He did an incredible job and I would definitely recommend him for anyone needing this type of surgery.

They are great. Excellent communication between staff and doctor. Dr. Harrod saw me for an ankle injury. He was my second opinion after my being dissatisfied with the treatment I received at another clinic. He clearly explained his reasoning and what to expect. Ultimately, I did have the surgery, and I’m glad I did, it fixed me right up. Dr. Harrod is friendly, easy to talk to, and genuinely listens.

Dr. V has scoped both of my knees then did a total replacement on one. Dealt with the early stages of severe shoulder joint damage and recommended the surgeon (outside her practice) who ultimately did the surgery. If you ever read her dictation notes you will find that she listened and retained everything you told her. I trust her implicitly and highly recommend her.
