Thad Holway: Comeback Champion

January 09, 2019

Bluegrass Orthopaedics is very happy to hear such an active patient is well on his way to returning to the activity he loves. Thad Holway, an active water skier, states “After 18 months of constant tightness and lessened range of motion in both hips, I finally decided to listen to Dr Christensen and have both hips replaced … within a 2 month period.” As one can imagine, that is not an easy road, and one that most patients would not be able to do. In fact, it is not necessarily suggested. Although we are still a few months away from skiing weather, Thad is preparing himself to get back in the water. “With rigorous physical therapy and continued training, I look forward to water-skiing with my wife and friends for many years to come.”

“From pre-surgery to post-surgery, BGO has had my best interests in mind. A surgeon cannot effectively do his job unless he has a great supporting cast backing him at all times and I have experienced great teamwork throughout my whole process. … Thank you Dr. Christensen and BGO for restoring my quality of life!”
